Thanks for your email.
We have reviewed your questions around Cathy’s unexpected announcement that all Australians can now pay for Doritos, by making a “bold move” on social media.
We can confirm that Doritos is available to purchase with bold moves on social media using the hashtag #PayWithBold as part of this promotion.
1. Publish a public post or a public reply to a post using their Facebook, TikTok or Instagram account that demonstrates their ‘bold move’; and
2. Tag their post with ‘#paywithbold’.
Although we will honour Cathy’s promise of free chips for bold moves, I’ve discussed some parameters with my team on what a bold move means.
-
There’s a lot of haters out there. An internet full of trolls. A sidewalk full of starers, It’s this fear of judgment that stops us from being our true selves. A bold move is the act of overcoming this fear. Being you. Being true.
-
A bold move can be a big, traffic stopping moment. But it can also be small. Just an everyday act that defies caring what others may think. Wearing what you want without seeking approval of others or being brave and saying “I need support” when it can be hard to ask
-
A bold move is not offensive actions or language or dangerous acts. At our discretion these will not be eligible for entry.
-
Lastly, Cathy had a pretty valid point. Being a triangle in a world of squares takes courage, so if Australia can show us their triangles selves, we’ll send them a $5 voucher to redeem a bag of delicious triangles in return.
-
In the spirit of bold moves, we’ve also confirmed a bold move could get someone a year’s supply of Doritos.
Here is the promotional disclaimer.
T&Cs apply, see www.doritos.com.au/paywithbold. Au res 18+ ends 9/1/23. Every week, the first ~1,142 entries will receive a $5.00 supermarket egift card (limit 2 entries). The most inspiring entry will win the opportunity to be a Doritos influencer for a year and earn $20,000.
Stay bold,
Sandra
